Just as Good But Quieter
These are sample chapters from a book I am writing called ‘Just as Good But Quieter’, which is basically a series of comparisons between silent films and modern ones. It’s a first draft so there are some blanks where I need to fill in dates and names etc and it’s pretty unfocussed, but if people like this then I’ll be posting chapters in no particular order every couple of weeks. As with any sort of criticism opinions are bound to differ and I want to be quite clear that anyone who wants to disagree with my assessment of the films is welcome to do so but should not fall into the trap of thinking I might care, my mind is made up. That said, if anyone spots factual inaccuracies please let me know. If you spot spelling or punctuation errors please keep it to yourself.-Robin
