The London Comedy Writers and ComComedy
Background
ComComedy is a new venture from a group of London Comedy Writers which aims is to produce and distribute high quality comedy content through its website and future partnerships. Monthly live nights with acts from the website as well as new/trial acts will promote the material each month and constantly drive production as well as attracting the audience.
The LCW and ComComedy partnership means that writers from the group will have a forum for their work.
Comedy Writers
Your sketches/shows/live material will be produced to the highest quality, edited and made available to a wide audience via various means of distribution. Material may also be used at the live nights. If your material is bought by any other company or used directly with partners (digital or online), the writer will receive royalties.
The Scripts
At present we are working to fairly tight timelines and budgetary requirements, therefore scripts with limited actors and settings are good. Once a month an announcement will be made via the LCW mailing list detailing 5 or 6 locations for the month and inviting submissions of material. We would particularly welcome submissions of sketches with recurring characters and themes. As well as sketches, we are particularly looking for shows the form of 10 minute webisode series. A formatting document is attached which demonstrates the format in which we would like to receive scripts.

Writers Agreement
If ComComedy produce any of your material, we will ask you to sign an agreement that says you will not give that material away to anyone else however you would be welcome to sell it. The agreement also entitles the writer to royalties should ComComedy make any money from the produced content.
Performing in Your Own Stuff/Sketch Troupes
If you are a writer and wish to perform in your own stuff that can be arranged, simply add a note in the email with the script and a shooting schedule will be organised. For sketch troupes who wish to work on their own material but would like ComComedy to produce, this must be pre scheduled but is still completely possible.
Get Involved – Cast/Crew
We will be in production almost constantly from mid September, so if you have skills and are out of work/want experience then get in touch.
Actors can request to be considered for specific material or simply be readily contactable. Producers already working on comedy material and would like to use ComComedy as a distribution method please get in touch. Directors wishing to take control of material and sketches email us for further information at the crew address.
