Through lectures, discussions and screenings, learn about the relationship between films and comic books over the last 40 years and how developments in technology have impacted on the production of these films.
For decades films have been sourced from comic books, newspaper strips and graphic novels. Learn about the relationship between films and comic books over the last 40 years and the different strategies adopted by film-makers to translate comics on to the big screen. The course will also explore how developments in technology have had a major impact on the production of these films. It will take the form of lecturer presentations (by Michael Ahmed), class discussions and screenings of extracts.
