Sentinel Literary Quarterly Short Story Competition has been introduced to encourage and reward quality short fiction writing, create and sustain awareness about the publication and if by any chance a small financial margin is achieved at the end of each competition, that will go back into producing the magazine and help keep it a free-to-read publication.

 Competition Details 

Subject:ntries are invited for previously unpublished poems and short stories in English Language on any subject or style. Maximum length of 40 lines (poems) and 1,500 words (stories).

Length: Maximum 1,500 words per story

Entry Fees: 1/£3, 5/£12 (Poems), 1/£5, 2/£9, 3/£12 (Stories)

Prizes: £150, £60, £40 in each category + First Publication in Sentinel Champions print magazine.

Geoff Stevens is the judge for poetry and Ivor Hartmann will judge the short stories.
