Deadline: 31st March 2010
Now in its 16th year, the Euroscript Screen Story Competition 2010 is an opportunity for screenwriters to develop their scripts to a high, marketable standard through an intensive, creative and focused script development programme.
For the Euroscript Screen Story Competition 2010 we have prepared an online lesson in How to Write a Winning Treatment. You will receive a Bullet Point Report on your submitted treatment even if you don't win.
Win £1,000 worth script development
1st Prize - The winning writer will receive one-on-one professional guidance to develop his/her screen story from treatment or first draft. Working closely with one of Euroscript's script consultants, the writer will have the opportunity to complete three drafts with a full script report at each stage of the development process. In addition, the writer will have regular scheduled meetings with his/her consultant and continuing email and telephone support. At the end of the process, which will take place over a period of six months, the winning writer will be given help and advice on marketing the script.
2nd Prize - One writer will be awarded a Full Script Report, up to four hours of meetings with a Euroscript consultant and continuing email and telephone support.
3rd Prize - Three writers will win the third prize of one of Euroscript's bullet-point script reports on any screenplay of their choice.
All writers receive a Bullet-Point Report on their treatment.
'I found it incredibly helpful and have a clear idea of what I need to do next.'
'Thank you for this very helpful, constructive feed- back.'
'Thank you very much for the reader's report which really was very helpful and thorough and is appreciated. I agree with their observations. It is great to be able to get a reader's report from entering, though not short listed, ie it makes the entry of value to the entrant regardless of the outcome.'
'Thanks for the reader's report, it's very useful. I'm off to Cyprus tomorrow and it will be handy to have the benefit of the report's insights when writing on the beach!'
Fee to enter: £35 per treatment.
