Opportunity: What's the Story?
Run By: Tidy Productionsltd
Genre: gags
Pay: paid per gag
Deadline: 18th March 2010
What's the Story? is a topical comedy panel show recorded in front of a live studio audience for ten consecutive weeks, starting on 1 April 2010 on BBC Radio Wales.
Tidy Productions are putting together a team of writers who are Welsh - or know the Welsh scene - who will provide topical gags for host Justin Waite and for the panellists to chip in during the rounds.
They are running a trial week before the programme airs to audition writing talent. If you're successful, you'll be invited to write for the show on a weekly basis and be paid on a per-gag basis.
Although the radio show is available nationally via digital radio and BBC iPlayer, the main focus is on Wales and gags relating to local news or national news from a Welsh angle. To give you an idea of the show you can listen to the final episode of the first series, which transmitted last September.
You can submit topical gags via email from Saturday 13th March through to Thursday 18th March at 9am.
Please send no more that ten gags in total during this time.
Send your gags in the body of an email with your full name and telephone number clearly stated to: gags@tidyproductionsltd.co.uk
