Welcome to this year's Young Fiction Writer of the Year competition, run by Take a Break's Fiction Feast. If you are aged between eight and 18, this is the competition where you can let your imagination run free and polish your storytelling skills. You have the chance to win some fantastic prizes, including Apple Macbook laptops. What's more, you will have the opportunity to see your story in print in a special edition of Fiction Feast.
We are delighted that best-selling author Anthony Horowitz will once again head our judging panel.
3 X FIRST PRIZES
The winner of each age group will receive:
- A 13” Macbook from Apple
- A trip to London with one family member, including rail travel, overnight stay in a London hotel and lunch reception.
- Meet Anthony Horowitz and receive a signed copy of his latest Alex Rider novel: Crocodile Tears
- Plus their story will be published in full in the December issue of Take a Break's Fiction Feast on sale 4 November 2010
6 X RUNNER UP PRIZES
Two runners up from each age group will receive:
- WH Smith vouchers worth £20
- A trip to London with one family member, including rail travel, overnight stay in a London hotel and lunch reception.

Three shortlisted writers from each age group will receive:
