Christopher Hampton, the top international screenwriter takes to the BFI Southbank stage to discuss his impressive body of work.
With a career as a top international screenwriter that spans nearly four decades, Hampton has won both BAFTA and Oscar Awards (for Dangerous Liaisons) and been nominated for a number of other screenplays, including his adaptation of Atonement. Other work includes Stephen Frears’ Cheri, Carrington and The Quiet American; while
David Cronenberg is currently directing a film from his book A Dangerous Method.
