Competition: IMLC Monthly Logline Contest
Run By: IMLC
Genre: Logline
Prize: See below
Deadline: 25th of every month
This is a FREE contest, judged by the entrants.
The best reason to enter is for fun and to give yourself insight into a producer's perspective. There are prizes (see below), which are fabulous, but the main thing is to learn to criticize loglines as a reader or someone looking to make a movie, rather than as a writer.
When you vote, ask yourself this question: If these loglines were a stack of scripts, which one would I read first?
HOW IT WORKS
- One logline per monthly contest.
- Participate as often as you want.
- Your logline does not have to be for a completed script.
- You can only view entries and vote if you are in that month's
contest. - You can only vote for one logline.
- If you vote for yourself, it will be discarded.
- Enter from the 1st to the 25th of each month.
- Voting takes place from the 26th to the end of each month.
- In case of a tie, there will be a 24 hour sudden death face off.
- Entries that contain obscene language or are nonsense will be
returned to sender. - All entries except the winner will be removed from our database
when each contest is over.
These prizes are offered to winners but you should make your own
decision as to whether or which ones to use.
1. Winner announced and logline posted on this website.
2. Logline tweeted to followers of Loglinecreator on Twitter and emailed to IMLC mailing list.
