A strong character can make a story

Write a short story that includes a strong character that is somehow a part of the scene pictured below. Creative approaches are welcomed. We are looking for 'Vivid Characterization' - well-defined, rich characterization. These are characters you can vividly hear, see, smell and care about as they are created by the writer.

One entry per person. New entries only. Minimum length 700 words. Maximum Length 7,000 words. Recommended length 2,000 - 3,500 words

The winners will be selected by the FanStory.com Contest Committee. The committee will read and discuss the entries. A winner will be announced approximately one to two weeks after the deadline passes.

The winner takes away a one hundred dollar pre-paid Visa gift card. Second place will win twenty-five member dollars. Third place ten member dollars.

This contest is open to all members. Past contest winners can join the contest.
