Short Story

Call for Submissions: Chapeltown
Run By: Chapeltown
Genre: bible stories - see below
Deadline: 1st December 2011

Chapeltown are hoping to launch the Davina Patterson imprint shortly. These will consist of full colour picture books suitable for emergent readers.

Our first title will be The Babel Tower. This will be followed by Noah and the Ark and The Baby in the Bullrushes.

Thereafter, submissions are sought of any fable, religious story, myth or legend, or other Bible story, including New Testament ones. We are particularly interested in stories involving animals.

Until December 2011, we only want the three Old Testament stories. Please submit the whole text in a Word document, with your work double spaced and divided into 24 or 28 double spreads. You may also submit a supplementary text discussing what you think may appear in the pictures.

In the header of the document, contain the title of the story and the name by which you would like to be known. In the footer, please contain your full contact details, including email and the name which you would like on the contract if you should be successful.

Please email your work to editor@chapeltownbooks.co.uk. In the body of the email tell us a little about yourself. In the subject line, put the name of the story you are submitting.
