Short Story

Call for Submissions: A Table for Six
Run By: TenFour Theatre
Genre: Theatre
Entry Fee: none
Deadline: 20th February 2012

Following the success of September’s production A Table for Six at LiT Space in Southwark, TenFour Theatre is looking to develop the format in Spring 2012, expanding its audience and building it into a regular, reputable new writing event.

TenFour is now accepting submissions of monologues for its Spring production of A Table for Six.

The show revolves around an informal dinner party and its guests. The selected monologues will determine the characters attending the dinner.

  • The monologue must be internal and should not refer to any other guest at the table.
  • No other guest can hear or respond to the piece, is it for the audience only.
  • Something at the dinner should instigate the monologue, but by no means needs to be its main focus.
  • The monologue should be five to ten minutes in length.
  • No prior writing experience is required.

If you submitted a monologue for the first A Table for Six, please note that it is still on file for consideration, so does not need resubmitting. But feel free to send any new ideas.

Submissions are to be sent to:

Successful writers will be contacted by April 2nd 2012.

Please note that all applications must be sent by post and, unless a stamped addressed envelope is included, work will not be returned.
