Short Story

Competition: Alone Festival: Call for interactive audio performances
Run By: Alone Festival
Genre: scripts or audio recordings
Prize: a pair of free tickets (worth £30.00) to the festival
Deadline: 1st August 2011

Alone Festival are looking for scripts or audio recordings of performances for one audience member.

Alone is a festival of performances for one audience member and, as part of this, we are hoping to make available audio recordings to instigate self-performances that can be downloaded to a phone or mp3 player and undertaken by audience members whilst at the festival.

Therefore, we’re looking for scripts that we can recorded by our performers or alternatively, audio recordings themselves recorded by you. The performances should be interactive and direct the listener to perform a number of actions linked to an underpinning theme or narrative. You are welcome to include basic props as part of your performance as long as they are inexpensive and readily available. So, for example, you might instruct an audience member to be blindfolded, place their feet inside a bucket of mud and then narrate a story about somebody drowning in a swamp.

Please send scripts or mp3s to: alonefestival@gmail.com or to:
