This exciting competition gives you the chance to have your very own pig on our ‘Own a Pig Scheme’.  We usually charge £270 for this service which provides individuals without the time, land or experience in keeping livestock, an opportunity to be involved in the journey of a pig from birth to plate.

Anyway, back to the competition itself.  This competition really is FREE; we’re not one of them crazy outfits which have random clauses such as a FREE MOBILE . . . if you spend £1,000 on this random gadget you will never use

So, “What do I have to do?” I hear you ask . . .

It’s simple, we really believe that we all need to play a part in educating the younger generation, show them where their food comes from . . . help them appreciate good quality produce, and what better way than have a competition which involves the whole family, especially the little ones.

You have until the 1st of December 2011 to, as a family, produce a short story which features at least some of our resident pigs at HerePigPig.  Go wild, make it up, and let your imagination do as it wishes.  Once you have finished your story simply send it to FreePig@HerePigPig.com

“Yeah yeah, you’ll just pick someone you already know to win” Nope, not the case.  By the 5th of December all stories will be put on the HerePigPig website for EVERYONE to read and enjoy.  I will monitor both visits and ratings . . . who wins the pig is up to the HerePigPig community.

So, between the 5th and the 23rd of December you have time to spread the word, tell people about your story, get them voting . . . and on Christmas day we will reveal who won the amazing gift of a free pig.

On the date of our first farrowing in 2012 I will contact the winner and let them choose their very own pig . . . and let the journey begin.
