With Channel 4 jumping into radio there are new and exciting oppertunities emerging, don't keep thinking The Archers and get creative.

All these places will accept unsolicited material, but please read up on their guidelines. Some like the scripts posted, some like them e-mailed. Please take the time to research the company and their past productions, even better contact them first and ask them about the sort of material they would be interested in.

Be respectful and don't bombard them with everything you ever wrote, they won't be interested in visual epic so fon't waste their time or you will ruin it for the rest of us.

BBC Writersroom
Writersroom is the first point of call at the BBC for unsolicited writers. All work is assessed primarily for the talent of the writer, and in addition for the script's suitability for any strand of BBC Drama, Entertainment and Children's programmes. They get a lot of scripts and if your first ten pages don't leap of the page they will read no further.

We are always on the lookout for interesting scripts both for our sitcom output and for the sketch shows we produce. The Comedy Unit also develops entertainment formats, youth formats and Radio ideas and formats.

Kali Theatre
Supporting Asian Woment to write for the theatre lies at the core of all that Kali does. All of our projects seek to support, encourgae and promote new theatre writing by Asian women. Each project will include support for the writer(s) involved through 1-1 dramaturgy, workshops with actors and a director, writers workshops and advice.

For a long time, This American Life was only a radio show, one with a hard-to-describe sound, millions of listeners, and a bunch of awards. This American Life broadcasts fiction and non-fiction, monologues and documentaries. We commission original reporting and original fiction.
